New Endowed Scholarship Honors Alum
Thanks to the generosity of fellow classmates, friends and family members of BHS Alum, Jane Baldwin, ‘59 a new endowed scholarship fund has been established at the Bexley Education Foundation. The Jane Baldwin Scholarship Fund honors the dedication of Jane to her class, to the teaching profession and to the Bexley Schools and community. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a Bexley senior who has excelled in mathematics.
Jane, who was the valedictorian of her class, holds a degree from Denison University and taught math for many years at Capital University. All four of her daughters, Kara, Jill, Heather and Kacy graduated from Bexley and she now has four grandchildren in the Bexley Schools. Jane’s classmate Jule Van Sant commented that, “this scholarship honors an outstanding person who has been extraordinarily committed to our class and now we are thanking her, our leader and friend for that commitment over these many years.” The first Jane Baldwin Scholarship will be awarded at the Bexley High School Senior Recognition ceremony on May 19.
