Grants and Awards for Teachers

Bexley Education Foundation grants are available to any faculty or staff member in the Bexley City School District.

District-Wide Impact Grants

Impact Grants are initiated by School District leadership to support or address a strategic priority, initiative or imperative of the School District and are usually $100,000 or more.

Teacher Mini-Grants

Classroom Grants

Funding (currently) can be up to $1,000 – for special experiences, supplies, additional classroom resources, teaching tools, etc. Teacher grants are generally for an individual classroom or activity, not an all-grade or all-school activity.

Classroom grants are awarded twice a year (fall and spring) usually for collaborative programs and projects between teachers, grade levels, schools, etc. Projects and programs should show creativity and innovation and impact a significant number of students.

Bexley Educator of the Year Award

Youth Philanthropy Program Grants

The Glick Family Bexley Educator of the Year Award is given each spring to one individual Bexley educator (teacher, staff member or administrator). A nomination requires the nominator's narrative as well as one additional letter of support from a second person. The award recipient receives a crystal apple, is part of Bexley’s July 4th Parade and is recognized at the Bexley Schools all-staff convocation held in August. Bexley High school students in the Bexley Education Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Program, funded by the Foundation’s Charlene Morgan Emerging Leaders Endowment, make annual grants (usually $500-$1,000) to support middle and high school student initiatives, clubs as well as leadership and learning activities.
