Love for Sally

We lost a very special friend on January 21 when Sally Millard, wife of former Bexley Basketball Coach and Athletics Director Gene Millard passed away. Sally was Bexley Athletic’s #1 fan, cheering on every team and becoming a “second mother” to countless athletes over the years. 

Sally and Gene created the Bexley High School Athletic Hall of Fame in memory of their daughter Becky Millard Attwood in 1989. Through their personal philanthropy and gifts made to the Hall of Fame over the years, The Millard Family Bexley Athletic Hall of Fame Fund has been established at the Bexley Education Foundation. Once the fund is fully endowed, it will provide an ongoing source of income for the Athletic Hall of Fame.
