The Bexley Education Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization with a mission to raise private dollars and channel that private support to the Bexley City Schools for projects and programs that elevate the educational experience for students across the School District.

EVENTS MANAGER
Part-time position
Up to 20 hours/week - Willing to work more hours in preparation for special events
The Events Manager will report to the Executive Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of Foundation fundraising and development, donor stewardship and cultivation events, awareness activities and special programs

  • Oversee the planning and execution of all Annual Fund events including kick off events as well as activities and events for specific constituent groups including donors and potential donors.

  • Oversee the planning and execution of the BRAVO! event (or events) including the auction component as well as all other fundraising components including sponsorship management, budget development, any volunteer engagement, event follow-up

  • Coordinate the scheduling and planning for Foundation funded programs including Scientist-in-Residence Program, Holocaust Scholar Program, Educator of the Year

  • In coordination with Communications and Marketing Manager, oversee implementation of Foundation hosted/sponsored events held in collaboration or partnership with the School District and other organizations

  • In coordination with the Alumni and Donor Relations Director support all alumni and donor relations events and activities (Alumni Open House, Distinguished Alumni Awards, Athletic Hall of Fame, Senior Celebration)

  • In coordination with Executive Director and Alumni and Donor Relations Director, support the planning for any legacy giving events and development activities

  • Become familiar with and work in the eTapestry database to support Foundation fundraising, and donor and alumni relations activities

  • Understand responsibilities of others in the office and be willing to assist when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General Fundraising/Event Planning/Communication Experience

  • PC Proficient/Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Canva

  • Personable and outgoing

  • Detail oriented

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Reliable transportation

Salary: $20 per hour - In addition to the hourly compensation, employees also receive a monthly $300 stipend to offset health care costs. Employees also have the ability to contribute to a simple IRA.
