It Starts With You

When you give to the Annual Fund drive you become a valued partner in the Foundations efforts, which begin where public dollars end. Foundation grants are teacher and staff initiated providing opportunities at all grade levels that enrich the curriculum, enhance learning environments, spark curiosity and encourage student engagement. Last year Foundation grants:

• Provided major funding support for the introduction and implementation of the new Wit & Wisdom ELA curriculum at all of the elementary schools

• Celebrated the diverse talents and backgrounds of our students by providing funding support for more students (including native speakers) to earn the Seal of Biliteracy. Funded a series of activities for ESL students and their families to increase connections with each other and the community.

• Supported the purchase of new furnishings for the Cassingham Elementary Library, allowing  students to access books in the location that best fit their needs.

• Funded the purchase of a mobile interactive smartboard to support innovative ways to engage  students in middle school and high school physical education classes

• Funded the in-person visits to all elementary schools of Oge Mora, children’s book author and illustrator of the Caldecott-honored Thank you Omu! and Christine Soontornvat, award-winning author All Thirteen, The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys’ Soccer Team.
