Growing Our Garden

Much like a garden, our Bexley educational environments require careful attention to ensure all students are not only growing but thriving. Bexley Education Foundation grants and programs enrich the learning experience for students across the School District. When you make a gift to the Foundation’s Annual Fund you enhance the quality of education in our schools and classrooms and support student engagement wherever that happens.

Last school year Foundation grants:

• Supported the addition of two shade structures over the playground equipment at Montrose Elementary

• Funded the commission of a choral piece to honor the life of Maryland Elementary music teacher Jackie Battieger.

• Provided Intervention Specialists across the School District with books, games, activities and materials to support the use of Orton Gillingham instruction.

• Supported elementary school librarians with assisting fourth and fifth grade students to transfer virtual coding skills to physical coding skills using micro:bit technology.

• Supported the well-being of female high school athletes through the purchase of Lauren Fleshman’s memoir, Good for a Girl: A Woman Running in a Man’s World.
