Your Schools, Your Legacy
A Family Legacy
Bruce Meyer, BHS ‘57 and his wife, Nancy, recently joined the Legacy Society when they let us know they had included the Foundation in their estate plans. “We have been very pleased to watch our three boys and seven grandchildren thrive in the Bexley school system similar to the experience Bruce had. The warm, welcoming, stimulating environment with excellent academics prepares all graduates to achieve fulfillment in adult life. We want to support and promote all these positives for future Bexley students.”
By including the Foundation in your estate plan, you can continue to enrich the lives of Bexley students for many years into the future and make a lasting impact in the Bexley Schools.
Lion pride is woven into the fabric of the Bexley community and into the life stories of alumni. That’s why many thoughtful alumni, parents, friends and community members have chosen to include the Bexley Education Foundation in their estate plans. For many, a deferred gift allows them to make a far more substantial gift to the schools than possible through an outright gift.
Creative Ways to Make a Lasting Impact
Gifts That Cost You Nothing Now
A Gift in Your Will (bequest) or Beneficiary Designation
With no payment now, it costs you nothing now to give in this way. Making a bequest is flexible. If your situation changes, you may alter your gift or change your mind at any time and for any reason.
Gifts That Reduce Your Taxes
You can leave these generous gifts now and you may receive tax benefits for your gifts.
Naming the Bexley Education Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement account can be an attractive option for leaving a legacy and reducing income and possibly estate taxes for your loved ones.
Do you have a life insurance policy that has outlasted its original purpose? You can use it (or a percentage of it) to reduce your taxes and create a gift to the Bexley Education Foundation that demonstrates your commitment to future generations of Bexley students.
Gifts That Pay You Income
There are ways you can receive an annual income for life, and at the same time allow you to be the champion for future generations. If you’re considering this kind of gift, we recommend that you consult with your financial advisor.
