Alumni Open House
Join your fellow Bexley classmates and alums from both near and far at Bexley High School on July 3. Whether you are here for a class reunion or just want to stop by, we’d love to have our student tour guides show you around. As you reminisce with friends and share memories, you’ll have the chance to see how the school has changed (or not)!
Although no RSVP is required, it will help us to plan if you would complete this quick response form or email Wendy at Alumni@Bexley.us with your attendance plans.

REUNION GIFTS
Reunions are a great time to reflect on your time at Bexley express gratitude for your education and reinvest in the Bexley experience to benefit current and future students. We are happy to work with BHS Classes holding reunions to match their interest in making a class gift with special and on-going needs within the Bexley City School District. Make your donation on the Join-Us page or read below about the different opportunities to give back.
Bexley High School Alumni Piazza and Walkway
Since its dedication on July 4, 1996, the Bexley High School Alumni Walkway and Pizza has continued to be a special place to honor Bexley graduates, classes, teachers, and special friends of the Bexley Schools. Envisioned as a gathering area for past, present and future Bexley graduates, the piazza has become just that. Engraved benches placed along the walkway can be purchased with a $2,500 contribution, while engraved pavers, located in the center of the piazza can be purchased for $750 each.
Lions’ Pride Alumni Fund
Gifts to the Lions’ Pride Alumni Fund ensure that all Bexley students continue to benefit from the “Bexley experience” – and the pride and tradition that sets Bexley apart from other public high schools across the country. The Lions’ Pride Alumni Fund supports, funds an annual Senior Celebration and provides a cash award to each Bexley senior who receives a Bexley High School Departmental Award. Contributions also support alumni events, awards and recognitions and on-going communications.
Bexley High School Alumni Scholarship Fund
The Alumni Endowment Fund, honoring the memory of longtime Bexley High School Alumni Association Secretary Barbara Babbitt Hysell, supports three annual scholarships for Bexley seniors. The Carlton Smith Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two seniors who excel in both athletics and academics. The William E.L. Young Memorial Service Award recognizes a senior for service to the community and/or school.
Designated Endowment Funds
Several Bexley High School alumni have established Designated Endowment Funds to support specific areas within the Bexley Schools or to provide college scholarships. Those endowments grow with additional gifts. A complete list of Designated Endowment Funds is available on the Bexley Education Foundation website at bexleyeducationfoundation.org.
Leave a Legacy at Bexley High School
Bexley High School alumni can sustain the tradition of excellence in the Bexley Schools through a planned gift. Reunion time is a perfect time to reflect on your experience and consider including the Foundation in your estate plans. One of the simplest ways is through a bequest in a will or estate plan or by naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of an IRA or insurance policy.
Many class reunions are planned around the Independence Day holiday in order to allow for Alumni to participate in the Bexley July 4 Parade and attend the Bexley Fireworks. Class reunions often include informal receptions or picnics, dinners or brunches, golf outings and other social activities.
Planning your class reunion can seem like an overwhelming task. The Bexley Education Foundation staff can provide a current contact list, help you promote your events, and assist in locating resources locally to help reunion chairpersons. On this page, we’ll share suggestions that may be of help to the organizers and we will post any information for your class as we learn of events. Please let us know if you have suggestions that we can post here as well. Thank you!
If you are seeking information about an upcoming reunion, please continue to check here about any parties or Bexley city events. Your class may also have a website or Facebook page. Some classes make plans for late summer or in the fall. Please let us know of your class plans and we’ll share your information here. Feel free to reach out to Director of Alumni and Donor Relations, Wendy Hauswirth, with questions or concerns at alumni@bexley.us.
