Woodson named as club’s featured author

Bexley Community Book Club, a program of the Bexley Education Foundation, recently announced that its 2016 Selected Author is children’s and young adult author Jacqueline Woodson.The winner of the 2014 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature, Woodson was recently named the Poetry Foundation’s Young People’s Poet Laureate for 2015 and is a four-time Newbery Honor medalist. During a Dec. 1, 2016, visit, Woodson will spend time with Bexley students during the day and give a community presentation, free of charge with sponsorship from Giant Eagle, at 7:30 p.m. at Bexley High School.By THIS WEEK BEXLEY NEWS
