After a two-year absence, BRAVO! returned on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The Bexley Education Foundation’s largest fundraising event was held in the Walter Commons area of St. Charles which was beautifully transformed with covered book table centerpieces and balloons that stretched toward the ceiling and clustered over a lighted Bexley sign. Guests were able sample tasty bites from ten local restaurants and caterers, browse silent auction items and enjoy music from the Big Rockin Blues Band.
Community members were invited to support the event in the way that they felt most comfortable. While many chose to attend, others participated by bidding virtually on silent auction items or purchasing “to go” meal options.
Silent auction items included a Little Free Library, a bourbon barrel from Middle West Spirits, Blue Jackets tickets and a two night luxury stay at Idyll Reserve. New this year was the BRAVO! Basket, a hand woven grocery tote in various shades of blue from Longaberger for Issac Mizrahi filled with goodies that was offered for sale.
Thanks to the leadership of the BRAVO! Committee and the generosity of event sponsors, ticket purchases, auction bidders, and other donors, the event raised over $100,000 to support the teacher-initiated program and projects that the Bexley Education Foundation funds in the Bexley Schools.
