1987 – The Bexley Education Fund (the precursor to the Bexley Education Foundation) organized a fund drive and raised over $640,000 to purchase computers for the Bexley City School District.
1995 – A one-year campaign, “Building a Community of Learners into a Community of Leaders” was launched to raise $1 million to support a sophisticated technology program in the Bexley Schools and build the BEF’s endowment fund.
1995 to 1998 – BEF made grants totaling $750,00 to the Bexley Schools to support the School District’s Five Phase Technology Plan.
1999 to 2018 – BEF awarded $175,000 in classroom technology grants across all schools in the district.
2006 – The BEF’s first Impact Grant of $120,000 was made for a Global Technology Classroom with six instructional suites at Bexley High School
2008 – A second Impact Grant of $376,000 was made to install SmartBoard Interactive technology in every classroom in the Bexley City Schools.
2012 – An Impact Grant of $195,000 was made to support district-wide wireless Internet access.
2015 – BEF partnered with the Eight Keys Foundation to make an Impact Grant of $250,000 to increase technology in Bexley elementary classrooms with mobile devices(iPad mini-tablets and laptops).
2019—A $126,000 Impact Grant was made to increase access to technology and support social-emotional learning initiatives.
