The Class of 2025 began its transition to Bexley High School on Friday, May 14 with fun activities on the football field hosted by students in the M Factor Mentoring Program. Juniors apply to be mentors to rising freshmen in the program that is overseen by the high school’s Counseling Department. Mentors attend training and planning sessions in preparation for their roles.
This was the first time the M Factor group has hosted a welcome event. Student groups rotated through different stations, played Bexley Bingo, picked up a free summer reading book of their choice and enjoyed a cool treat from the Kona Ice Truck.
The BEF’s Brandt Family “Read for Life” Endowment annually funds the rising freshmen book gift program. BEF also sponsored the Kona Ice Truck and bingo prizes.
