“Possibilities: Fueled by YOU” is the theme of the Foundation’s 2016 Fund For Excellence campaign, which kicked off earlier this month. This year, BEF Board members Julie Cohen and Drew Stark are leading the annual drive for contributions to support the work of the BEF in enhancing excellence in the Bexley City Schools.
“Supporting the Fund for Excellence annually is important to me because the campaign invites all members of our community to participate,” said Julie Cohen. “The result of this collective generosity is dollars that directly impact our kids and their teachers and schools.”
The “Possibilites: Fueled by You” theme refers directly to the fact that money raised through this campaign provides the means for supporting the ongoing programs BEF makes possible, and funds classroom and district-wide grants for educational projects that could not be funded through the regular school budget. BEF grants enhance all areas of the curriculum and benefit students in grades K ”“ 12 in the Bexley schools. During the 2014-2015 school year, the Foundation made grants totaling $111,056.
