Teachers in the Bexley City Schools now have more access to BEF grant dollars. The Teacher Mini-Grants initiative is an outcome of the BEF’s strategic planning process. BEF Board Chair, Betsy Farrar made the mini-grants announcement at the Bexley City Schools All-Staff Convocation held on August 14. Farrar invited teachers to apply for a mini-grant as a way to get a little extra to help tackle a specific classroom challenge, implement a new idea or make a lesson plan even better.
Teacher Mini-Grants of up to $500 can be used to support enrichment opportunities, special learning activities, classroom resources and enhancements, community service or service learning activities, student recognition and projects that encourage student leadership. The application is on-line and easy to complete. Teachers can submit one mini-grant application per school year.
“We are excited to provide another opportunity to support our outstanding Bexley educators who are always thinking of new ways to engage students in their classrooms,” said BEF Grants Committee Chair, Sarah Saxbe.
