Create An Endowment

The BEF is honored to steward fourteen Designated Endowment Funds that have been established by generous donors for the purpose of providing enrichment programs in specific areas or providing college scholarships for Bexley students. Bexley alumnus and author of the Goosebumps series, R.L. Stine established the first BEF Designated Endowment Fund in 1996.

An initial gift of $10,000 is required to seed an endowment fund. If the purpose of the endowment is for program support, the donor must make a commitment to grow the fund to a minimum level of $35,000 within 25 months of establishing the fund. Grants will be made from the fund once the fund reaches $35,000. If the endowment is established with the intent and purpose that the funds are to be used for scholarships, the fund must grow to a minimum amount of $25,000 before any scholarship may be granted from the DEF. It is the goal of the Foundation that each Designated Endowment Fund grow to $100,000 or more.
