Leadership Bexley graduates 25

March 2014””Twenty-five BHS sophomores and juniors completed the five-week Leadership Bexley program this month. During the program, which is funded by BEF’s Pete Grimes “Just Do It” Endowment Fund, students met with community leaders, identified their own unique strengths, participated in skills development workshops, and wrote and presented a short speech.

In a March 12 completion ceremony at Jeffrey Mansion, Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler told the graduates that to succeed as leaders, they should connect with others, embrace their failures in order to learn from them, and be authentic. “Take what’s unique about you – what’s authentic – that spark. What fires you up and gets you up in the morning. Follow your heart, and you will succeed.”
