Among the BEXceptional student artwork offered for auction at BRAVO! this year will be some cool Van’s shoes designed and decorated by Cassingham 4th graders for local businesses. The shoe design project was funded by a Bexley Education Foundation fall 2018 grant to Cassingham art teacher Ben Pinciotti. Mr. Pinciotti reached out to 20 local businesses, including retail shops, restaurants, the City of Bexley and the Bexley Public Library to see if they might serve as clients for his 4th grade students. Each business will have a shoe specifically designed for that business by a two-person student team.
These fabulous shoes as well as all the unique children’s art classroom projects from across the school district, including birdhouses, photography, a porch swing and school desk, will be available to bid on starting March 23 when mobile bidding opens. To register as a BRAVO! bidder go to www.bexbravo.givesmart.com Bidding will close at 10:00pm on Saturday, March 30 and winners will be notified by text or email.
