Writer Pete Hamill, the Bexley Community Book
Club's selected author for 2008, will speak at
Bexley High School's Schottenstein Theatre on
Wednesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Hamill
is a legendary New York reporter and editor who
has published 21 books, many of them best-sellers.

and holidays and plan their summer reading because
the book club's second Bookfair at Barnes &
Noble at Easton is right around the corner on
Saturday, March 15 from 9:00 a.m until 11:00 p.m.

The
first of two "book talks" will take
place in October as part of The Bexley Education
Foundation's year-long community read initiative,
Bexley Community Book Club. In keeping with its
intent to involve the community on a grass roots
level through a host of ancillary events, Bexley
Community Book Club is partnering with the Bexley
Public Library who will host the book talk in
its auditorium on Sunday, October 14 at 3:00 p.m.
This first event features Kacey Kowars, host of

Community "Book Club" Initiative in
Conjunction with 25th Anniversary |

The
Bexley Education Foundation (BEF), the first
public school foundation in Central Ohio, is
launching a unique model for a community-based
author initiative to encourage reading, in conjunction
with its 25th anniversary.
Designed
to involve the community on a grass roots level
through a host of year-long ancillary events
culminating in the author's visit to the community
on April 30, 2008, this new initiative has been
aptly named Bexley Community Book Club. This
initiative will serve as the first of an annual
"community read" of the works by a
